There are many global macro-economic factors shaping the investment landscape for Canadian institutional investors. Some of the larger factors include a tepid economic recovery outside of North America, the persistent low interest rate environment and ever-present geopolitical turbulence. Join Jeff Tiefenbach as he examines the investment landscape from the perspective of a Canadian institutional investor and provides his insights into how to position portfolios for 2015 and beyond.

Jeff Tiefenbach is Senior Vice-President, International equities for Greystone Managed Investments Inc.

Jeff joined Greystone in 2005, returning to his home province after 7 years with Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management in Vancouver, where he was most recently Vice-President U.S. equities. Jeff’s broad experience also includes global, Canadian equities and Canadian fixed income investing. Prior to his stint with PH&N, Jeff was at Crown Life in Regina. As an Investment Analyst for Crown Life, Jeff worked in both equities and fixed income.

At Greystone, Jeff leads a team of five responsible for investing in international equities for a client base located across Canada. In this respect, his strong background in U.S. and global equities is especially useful.

Jeff holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
