Supporting the advisor/broker distribution channel in Manitoba. This position will be reporting to the Sales Director Group Customer - Mid-West Region, your primary responsibilities will be to enhance advisor/broker relationships with a goal to achieve annual sales targets and retain clients in the Group Retirement Services field (Group RRSPs, pension plans, etc.). 


Develop and implement business plans to achieve annual sales targets through new and existing client relationships
Maintain and strengthen relationships with advisors/brokers to achieve annual sales targets
Manage the sales process from request for proposal to finalist presentation
Work closely with advisors/brokers, plan sponsors, and client relationship staff to ensure client satisfaction through our new business implementation process
Work collaboratively with the Mid-West Group Customer team to ensure Great-West’s success in this market
Promote additional products and services with advisors/brokers, clients and client relationship managers to enhance client retention 


Qualifications and Competencies: 

Degree or diploma in marketing-related field preferred
Background in the financial services industry with specific knowledge in the Group Retirement Savings segment
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience preferred
Exceptional collaborative relationship building skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven negotiation and public speaking skills
Superior presentation skills with a focus on investment and retirement planning topics offered to intermediaries, pension committees and plan sponsors
Effective time management and strong problem-solving skills to achieve sales and retention goals
Quick thinking and creative
Proficient in MS Office products
Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) designation is preferred
Requires vehicle and flexibility for travel
