QUALIFICATIONS

Rise People Inc. is looking for someone with previous experience in Group Benefits.  Applicant must be thoroughly proficient with intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  Have a keen eye to detail and be able to motivate themselves with little supervision. Comfortability in speaking.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Screen group requests to request missing information and clarify specifications
Communicate with Clients, Employees and Carriers
Prepare market specifications, summarize and analyse proposals and reports
Assisting management with product knowledge, claims experience, amendments, and contractual situations – reviewing contracts, booklets, amendments, and financial statements
Performing complex plan design changes for existing clients by collecting necessary information, notify applicable departments/carriers and coordinate any final stages
Collaborating with the Providers Underwriting departments to obtain quotes and alternates

Recommends potential solutions and alternatives to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs. Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information
Performing other benefits duties as assigned by management

Full understanding of each benefit and product offering

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

Completion of post secondary education
Minimum of 2+ years experience in a group insurance environment, or equivalent industry experience
Commitment to ongoing development, such as working towards GBA designation
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficient with Word and PowerPoint
Strong writing skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable communicating with clients, insurance providers, and employees
Strong team player and able to work independently, making decisions efficiently and effectively

Requirements:
