The Employee Benefits team is seeking an individual with experience in group benefits, who lives in detail, is thorough, and takes pride in their outstanding organization and communication skills. Reporting to the Director, the Benefits Information Coordinator prepares and manages all communication material and governing documents, such as plan policies, procedures, briefing notes, meeting minutes, etc., and manages a comprehensive schedule for the review and release of the material.  The Coordinator also organizes and prepares for all Board of Trustee and committee meetings, provides on-site meeting support and manages the flow of communication between the various committees that serve the benefit plans. This role also supports department ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Requirements:

What we’re looking for:

  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in a related discipline, plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in employee benefits.
  • Experience researching, writing, editing, and proofing various written materials and strong attention to detail.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation an asset.
  • Experience providing senior level committee support an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines; flexibility to adapt to changes in organizational priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suites (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal and external collaborative working relationships and work as part of a team.
  • Self-directed team player, with demonstrated initiative and independence.
  • Customer focus and proactive approach to serving others.
  • Confidential, discreet, diplomatic and professional.
