We are currently recruiting for a Director, Emerging and Mid-Market Business to join our Group Business team. The role will be located at our head office in Burnaby, BC.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Group Business, the Director, Emerging and Mid-Market Business leads, directs, plans, supervises and co-ordinates activities of the Sales and Service teams. The primary focus of this position is to grow and retain small and medium size groups through the development and execution of a dynamic business plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director, Emerging and Mid-Market Business is responsible for the achievement of annual sales objectives through the development of sales programs and techniques designed to achieve production and retention of quality life and health business in the Group business market. This role leads, motivates and develops a quality sales force and provides organizational support to the Senior Vice-President, Group Business.
- Provides ongoing support and guidance to the Account Executives, Emerging and Mid-Market Business including influencing the projects and priorities organization-wide and working in collaboration with peers in other departments. Participation in project teams that drive products, solutions, innovations to improve our ability to retain business and achieve sales targets.
- With a focus on relationship building with clients and benefits consultants, the Director will identify opportunities to develop ongoing client/consultant meetings involving the appropriate staff and executives at PBC, create and maintain a Client Advisory Council, regular visitation schedule for groups and leverage in-house expertise and technology to promote to the clients/consultants/prospects a solid Value Proposition.
- Provides direction to managers and their teams to support the sales/retention function, and to provide a consistent and reliable client service model to the Account Executive team, and to our external stakeholders such as clients/consultants.
- Co-ordinates, communicates expectations and controls the workflow of the department(s) to ensure service objectives and budget objectives are met.
