Are you looking for a new job that is high-paced, engaging and challenging all at the same time?  Our firm is currently looking for a group insurance Sales Assistant.  We are offering a market competitive compensation and benefits package.  The position is full time, and targeted to commence within the next two months. 

This position reports to the VP of Business Development, and all managing partners of the firm.


Description of Position

In this role your responsibilities will include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • Assistance with group insurance marketings - compiling request for proposal (RFP) materials and data needed to send out to market, marketing report data analysis, marketing reports and recommendations.
  • Assistance with group insurance renewals - negotiate with the insurance carriers, assess gaps in current coverage and provide suggestions for other benefits, compile the renewal report and recommendations.  
  • Manage a block of small to mid-size clients, inclusive of day-to-day account management via phone, email and face to face
  • Review plan audits and design for clients within service and renewal block
  • Provide direct day-to-day problem solving support for clients by phone and e-mail
  • Act as the main pivot point of contact during consultant absences
  • Review contracts and compare with employee booklets/update employee booklets
  • Support internal administration and account management team
  • Assist with booking client and prospect meetings as required
  • Supporting with sales team with special projects as required
  • Enter data into our sales CRM program
  • Assist with booking lodging and tradeshow / golf tournament logistics
  • Assist at tradeshows where required
  • Travel, including overnights may be required

Job Experience and Personal Skills Required for the Position

  • 1-2 years of sales experience
  • Previous experience on PipeDrive CRM would be an asset
  • High energy individual who is comfortable making cold calls
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and secure business
  • Self-motivating, result-driven personality
  • Excellent, clear, concise communication skills
  • Ability to thrive and perform under pressure
  • Friendly and engaging personality
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
