We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Associate Vice President in our Benefits & Health Consulting practice. In this role, you are refining and applying your knowledge of employee benefit plan design and implementation practices to deliver high quality, innovative, and effective client solutions. You have a penchant for creating lasting relationships, and will support efforts to grow and build our reputation and be a part of our leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a block of clients and own responsibility for the growth of those clients
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with clients and underwriters, acting as their primary contact and liaison
  • Handle actions and tasks as a project manager
  • Monitor the client satisfaction level with vendors and Accompass
  • Evaluate and judge the similarities, differences, and capabilities of the various vendors
  • Communicate face-to-face with clients on a regular basis in order to deliver information and assess status
  • Proactively bring new ideas, products, services, and tools to existing clients to improve the value of their benefit investment or decrease service costs
  • Provide product and process expertise
  • Participate in off-site meetings intended to acquire client feedback and direction and to share knowledge and expertise
  • Prepare for and assist in semi-annual and/or annual review with plan sponsor
  • Support the Team and work with the cross-functional team to:
    • Prepare for prospect meetings and presentations
    • Assist in client-specific responses to Requests for Proposal
    • Attend prospect meetings
    • Present with team at finalist meetings
  • Development of new data and tools
  • Serve as a mentor/coach to the benefits team
  • Participate as part of the Accompass leadership group
  • Represent Accompass externally in the marketplace
Requirements:

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of employee benefits experience
  • A polished presence with strong oral and written communications skills
  • Team player; however, able to work independently
  • Diligent attention to detail, project management and the ability to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Strong work ethic but willing to have fun
