The successful candidate will provide leadership, support, and advice in a range of human resources areas including labour relations, policies, procedures, job evaluation, organizational and professional development, and occupational health and safety.

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Human Resources or Bachelor's degree plus certificate/diploma in Human Resources Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a human resources role working in a unionized environment delivering a full range of HR programs and services.
  • Experience in collective agreement administration, grievance handling, and collective bargaining.
  • Experience in conflict management/mediation.
  • Knowledge of labour and employment legislation and Workers’ Compensation procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • CPHR designation would be considered an asset.
