The person in this position provides operational support to the Group and Business Insurance Sales Team in Winnipeg. This fast-paced sales environment will require an energetic, organized person that will be able to multi-task and be receptive to challenges.

Duties include:

  • Providing support to the Sales team with respect to the acquisition of new group business and the management of existing business.
  • Working under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for the preparation of all service and sales support functions.
  • This includes preparation of service letters, preparation and checking of kits, checking and logging of new sales, renewal preparation, assembling marketing and sales kits.
  • Entering new business quotes in quote log, preparing and sending RTQ to underwriting.
  • Corresponding with brokers, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
  • Keeping brochures up to date in hard and soft copy and keeping sufficient quantity in stock.
  • Preparing cheque requisitions for accounts payable invoices and maintaining stock on all stationary and office supplies.
  • Handling all incoming and outgoing mail duties.
  • Planning and organization of events and meetings.
  • Other administrative duties as required.
Requirements:

  • Vocational diploma in a related field
  • 2 years of relevant office experience
  • Proficient in the use of Office Software, particularly Excel, Word & Powerpoint
  • Keyboarding skills of at least 50wpm
  • Experience in Group Benefits is a definite asset
  • Is a highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
