Artificial intelligence seems to be is everywhere these days, whether it’s Siri, Alexa or even Netflix with their automated suggestions – AI has permeated many aspects of our daily lives! There is without doubt a major role for AI in benefits. One emerging application is using broader claims experience to enrich disability data, helping to get to the true cause(s) of disability as a means to expediting the most appropriate therapies and assisting in the detection of members at high-risk for health events proactively.

The evolution is underway but there are structural limitations the industry needs to consider and address in order to allow the applications of AI to thrive in this space.

At this session, plan sponsors, benefits advisors, insurance carriers and other providers who are intrigued at what is possible today and what could be moving forward will gain an understanding of current state and what needs to happen to grow meaningful AI applications moving forward.
