Created by member insurance companies, the Canadian Drug Insurance Pooling Corporation (CDIPC) has been in existence since 2012 with a mandate to reduce and share the burden caused by the consequences of one-time and recurrent high cost drug claims on sponsors of fully insured drug plans. This session will explain how CDIPC’s embedded EP3 and industry level pooling mechanisms work, results to date, and trends seen since CDIPC’s inception.
