The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation is inviting applications for a Rehabilitation Consultant for the Teachers’ Long-Term Disability Plan, a self-administered plan that provides a monthly disability income to members, along with rehabilitative services that support the recovery process and re-entry to active employment.

The Rehabilitation Consultant will provide general case management of disability claims, as well as assessment and management of complex disability claims, including coordination of services of outside agencies; motivate and assist clients in formulating realistic vocational goals; and provide support and counselling to enhance the vocational process for teachers who are the primary members of this Plan.

The successful applicant will have an undergraduate degree in health sciences, rehabilitation case management, social work or related field, combined with 4-6 years of related experience. A CCRC (Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor), RRP (Registered Rehabilitation Professional) or similar designation in the rehabilitation field is an asset. Demonstrated computer proficiency in automated disability management systems and Microsoft Word is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
