$73,400.00 - $101,900.00 annually

The Financial Institutions Commission (“FICOM”) regulates pension, financial services and real estate industries in British Columbia. This regulation is designed to protect the public against the insolvency of financial institutions, prevent improper market conduct in the financial services and real estate sectors, provide deposit insurance for members of B.C. credit unions and ensure the solvency of pension funds.

The Senior Analyst is responsible for an assigned caseload of pension plans, identifying significant issues and areas of risk related to pension plans. The Senior Analyst is responsible for responding to complaints lodged by the plan members concerning pension plans in their assigned caseload. The Senior Analyst leads projects related to the review and improvement of business processes of the department. The Senior Analyst also provides coaching and mentoring to Analysts and other staff in the Department.

Qualifications for this role include:

Degree in a field related to business, finance or equivalent professional designation.

Three years of experience in financial administration, risk management or regulatory work in the financial services sector is required, with complementary training in actuarial sciences, accounting, business, finance, economics or equivalent experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
