As the Benefits Analyst you are the first point of contact for responding to inquiries and addressing issues from all stakeholders of the corporate benefits plans. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all data in the Government of Nova Scotia’s personnel system (SAP) that impacts the benefits eligibility records, including the enrollment and maintenance of coverage for employees, retirees and dependents in the applicable benefits plans in SAP.

Responsibilities include executing SAP queries and reports; responding to a large volume of plan member's inquiries; systems testing, and the administration of databases used to calculate coverage and benefit costs for employees on unpaid leave.


You have a post-secondary education or Human Resources diploma or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in the administration of Canadian group insurance plans and knowledge of the principles governing these plans is required.  Your active participation in the Certified Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation would be considered an asset.

As the successful candidate you will have strong mathematical skills and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. Knowledge or experience with Excel and SAP would also be considered assets.
