Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a HR Specialist, Benefits on a permanent basis at our Home Office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

What you’ll do:

The HR Specialist, Benefits is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of benefit programs, policies and strategies. In addition, they will also be responsible for providing recommendations on benefit policies, plan design and program development will be based on research, data analysis, best practices, legal impact and the needs of the Co-operative Retailing System. 

You will analyze the Benefit plan design including key metrics for the Co-operative Retailing System and make recommendations for changes and/or enhancements to the design.  This includes evaluating and reporting on program effectiveness, regulatory changes, and benchmarking to best practices of complex projects such as Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Extended Health Care, Dental, Life Insurance programs and Health Spending Accounts.
You will administer benefit programs and respond to questions and inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding the benefit plan design and programs. Track, log and maintain policy and procedure changes. 
You will also, provide general support to the Benefit & Wellness function as a whole.

Requirements:

Who you are:

  • You are an experienced HR professional looking for a career in Human Resources and Training and:
  • You have a degree, preferably in Commerce or Business Administration.
  • You have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in analyzing and/or administering benefits programs (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • You’re familiar with benefits programs; having obtained a CPHR and/or a CEBS designation would be considered an asset.  
  • You are honest and trustworthy, you are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
