• Reporting to the Board of Directors and assisted by your leadership team, you will develop and implement initiatives for cost containment and strategies to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• The Board delegates operational responsibilities and authority to you with clear expectations for corporate results and deliverables to align with the Strategic Plan and Business Plan, and within APS’ risk and compliance framework.
• You will provide ongoing development and refinement of leadership skills at the management level, and encourage the continued leadership development of all employees.
• You will inspire, motivate and empower your teams to pursue new ideas and take enthusiastic ownership of creative initiatives for enhancing the client experience.
• You will develop and participate in an effective program of liaison with key stakeholders, balancing a variety of interests and views, and champion proactive strategies through collaboration.
• You will navigate complex issues and stakeholder dynamics and provide creative solutions in a complex, regulated environment by bringing diverse groups of people together for a common goal.

Requirements:

• You must be passionately engaged, and will have demonstrated experience in providing vision, leading and managing multiple teams, and delivering measurable results.
• You believe in a distributed leadership style and have the ability to delegate responsibility and build a cohesive management team.
• You are decisive, able to make difficult decisions and effectively communicate them in an assertive fashion.
• You are a natural relationship builder and an engaging people leader with the ability to work closely and effectively with all stakeholders and inspire confidence and trust in APS, through your example, accountability and values.
• You are a dynamic change agent and have a talent for adaptability in a changing environment.
• You have the ability to identify emerging trends and lead strategies leveraging emerging technologies.
• You must have superior communication and presentation skills required to interact with government officials, political leaders and all stakeholders.
• You will have a proven track record as a corporate leader with significant executive business management experience, preferably in the financial or pension administration services sector, built on strong and appropriate post-secondary credentials.
