Description:

At Great-West Life our Customers are at the center of what we do. As a Sales Director you will be promoting the sale of Great-West Life products to Group Customer Market Leadership and direction of the sales team. This role executes regional business plans in order to meet or exceed all regional business objectives. This position is located in Vancouver, BC.

Accountabilities:

Ensure day-to-day delivery of the sales teams, and handle escalated issues
Relationship management with business partners both internally and externally
Work collaboratively with the regional service counterparts to ensure customer needs are exceeded
To achieve business objectives and execute quarterly regional business plans as rolled out by the Regional Vice President
Provide leadership and coaching to the sales team to drive performance and achieve business objectives
Maintain and strengthen relationships with Consultants, Group Specialist, Generalists, plan sponsors, to achieve annual sales, persistency, in-force growth, profit and other targets
Manage the sales process from request for proposal to finalist presentation
Work closely with Consultants, Group Specialist, Generalists, plan sponsors, and
customer relationship staff to ensure customer satisfaction through our new business
implementation process and ongoing account management.
Promote additional products and services with Consultants, Group Specialist, Generalists, plan sponsors, and regional service counterpart(s) to enhance client retention
Maintain small caseload of large or complex clients, as necessary, to support their unique sales needs

Requirements:

Qualifications & Competencies:

5-10 years of sales experience in the Canadian Group Insurance or Group Retirement Solutions Industry 
Post secondary education or equivalent work experience
Excellent relationship management skills
Understand the business environment and advisor/customer needs to create competitive advantage
Create alignment on opportunities to drive sales results and ensure retention of clients
Work to ensure resources are deployed effectively to meet customer needs, and balance peaks and valleys in workload
Build partnerships to seek opportunity for cross sell Consultant & Specialists, and Generalists, Sales
Work to ensure resources are deployed effectively to meet customer needs

Contribute to the development of new products and services by sharing ideas and concepts with Regional Vice President, Regional Service Leaders and head office
