The Evolution of Workplace Wellness

June 26, 2024 12:00 PM to 1:00 PMOnline
Area of Interest: Benefits Format: Web

While wellness practices date back to 3000 BC, the term 'wellness' was coined back in 1961. Since then, workplace wellness strategies have evolved significantly.

Key Session Discussion Points:

What have we achieved as a society regarding employee wellness in the workplace?

Are employees better off due to these strategies, and how do we measure it? Have we sacrificed core employer values in the name of wellness?

In this session, we will:

1. Compare the evolution of workplace wellness, identifying traits of each iteration.

2. Assess where our organizations stand on the wellness spectrum.

3. Discuss if we have positively shifted the wellness needle (defined as a positive workplace experience).

4. Share lessons learned on this journey.

The goal is to understand the progress made and re-evaluate our approach to truly prioritize employee well-being.
