
CPBI HALL OF DISTINCTION: Guidelines and Procedures
Nomination Criteria
Past and present members who:
- Had a transformational and/or substantial, measurably positive material impact on the organization nationally and/or in one or more regions over multiple years;
- Remained committed to CPBI over a period of at least five years;
- Played a leadership and/or exceptional role – formally or informally – on one or more CPBI groups (e.g. committees, regional council, national board).
Nominating Procedure
- Nominations can come from any CPBI region;
- Nominations must be supported by at least two CPBI members in order to be considered;
- Nominations will be accepted throughout the year and awarded as evaluated;
- Award Recipients will be showcased at CPBI’s National Conference FORUM as a year-end recap and showcase;
- Hall of Distinction can be awarded posthumously;
- This is intended to be a one-time award in a member’s lifetime.

Selection Process
- Nominations will first be presented to the CPBI Member and Volunteer Experience Committee for consideration at each quarterly meeting;
- Recommendations for induction in the Hall of Distinction will be selected by unanimous consent of the Member and Volunteer Experience Committee. Such recommendations will then be forwarded to the CPBI Board for formal approval;
- Award acknowledgment will be determined based solely on the information submitted in the nomination form;
- There will be no maximum number of individuals to be recognized each year;
- Award winners will be selected by majority vote of the Board at its quarterly meetings;
- The selection process will be kept confidential.
