Pierre Ouimet, Senior Investment Strategist, Executive Director
Pierre has a BAA from University of Montreal and an MBA from McGill University. He has over 36 years of investment industry experience. Pierre began his investment career as a research analyst at Standard Life. In 1986, he joined Levesque Beaubien as head of research and later became portfolio manager with National Bank / Levesque Beaubien investment subsidiary: NatCan. In 1990, Pierre joined BNP Securities as President.
Pierre joined the Montreal office of UBS Asset Management Canada's predecessor firm in 1995 as Vice President, Canadian Equity. Pierre was Head of Canadian Equities and was responsible for research and portfolio construction activity in the Canadian market until December 2011. In this role he was the lead portfolio manager for large-cap portfolios. Since January 2012, Pierre has been working with UBS Investment Management Canada on Canadian Equity strategies and asset allocation. As Chair of the Canadian Asset Mix Committee, Pierre has responsibilities for top-down macro inputs in the investment management process. Pierre is a frequent presenter on the Business News Network (BNN).
