In 2016 the Federal government announced the most recent chages to CPP, expanding coverage for Canadians starting in 2019. The changes will impact Plan Sponsors, members and in some cases, even a pension plan design itself. From administration and payroll systems to contribution requirements to plan benefits, this session will discuss the upcoming changes to CPP and what pension plans and their stakeholders need to review going in to 2019 and beyond.

Speaker: Patricia Ann Caetano, BSc, PhD; Executiver Director, Provincial Drug Programs, Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living
Dr. Caetano's research training and expertise is specifically in the area of utilizing administrative health databases for measuring the population effectiveness of prescription therapies as well as the effects of policy changes on population-based drug utilization rates. Through her position with MHSAL, Dr. Caetano leads the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and programs that support a high quality and responsive provincial drug program.
