Stay current with this overview of recent significant cases and legislative changes in Canadian pensions and benefits law. Murray Campbell will discuss recent statutory and case law developments of interest to pension and benefit plan sponsors and administrators. This session will highlight noteworthy legal developments from the last year that will be of interest to those who deal with pension and employee benefit issues.
Murray is the head of Western Canada's largest and most experienced Pensions and Benefits Law Group. He acts for boards of trustees and other sponsors of pension and benefit plans in the private and public sectors in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta.He has significant experience advising clients with respect to converting their pension plans from defined benefit to defined contribution and target benefit plans. Recently, he has been assisting with clients with plan modernization to ensure compliance with governance and assessment requirements under the new pensions legislation.While Murray is a solicitor, he regularly provides strategic direction with respect to pension and benefit litigation.
