We are seeking a Board Services Research Analyst to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Board Services Research Analyst plays a crucial role in providing strategic support and advice on plan and corporate board deliverables and issues.  This position involves conducting comprehensive research and analysis of both internal and external information, which may span across various functions. Research findings are presented to plan boards and internal stakeholders as required.

Requirements:

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

· Bachelor’s degree (e.g., in mathematics, law, commerce, business administration, public administration, or other relevant and related field) or equivalent experience, education and training may be considered.

· Minimum 3 years of related progressively responsible experience in relevant industry (i.e., public sector, policy, pensions or actuarial/legal profession).  Preference may be given to applicants with 5 or more years of experience.

· Experience in the following areas:

   -Managing multiple projects/assignments

   -Working with multiple stakeholders

   -Conducting research and presenting reports/briefings; and

   -Policy, business or risk analysis

Nice to have

· Experience working with boards and sub-committees and/or their offices and executive staff is preferred.

· Experience working in a corporate or board governance environment is preferred
