Here’s the impact we’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together
As a Retirement Consultant within the small/mid-size market DB Admin team you will help to ensure delivery of high-quality work that meets specific client needs. You have a passion for numbers, an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing and reviewing calculations.
What you’ll do
- Lead the client service delivery that includes:
- Production of annual pension statements
- Review complex calculations such as marriage breakdowns and pension loss calculations
- Conduct technical analysis of plan provision changes and legislative updates
- Liaise with the actuary regarding membership data for valuations
- Support pension administration issues in collaboration with the client
- Ensure compliance, quality control and service standards are met
- Demonstrate leadership with a coaching mindset overseeing work within the team
- Assist in development of new business with existing clients and prospective clients
- Participate/manage special projects as required
Requirements:
You have
- 10+ years of DB Pension Administration experience
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business or a related field
What you bring
- Knowledge of pension and tax legislation
- Exceptional customer focus with strong professional acumen
- Strong communication, project management, and presentation/meeting management skills
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in office software, specifically MS Word, and Excel, is essential.
Nice to have
- DB pension background and/or ASA designation
- Courses in Pension Administration
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Experience with pension administration software Ariel
- Proficiency with Access
