Good diagnosis precedes good treatment. In this presentation we will examine the history of women’s exclusion from medical studies, gender bias and stereotyping in medicine, and the consequences of these.  With that history in mind, we’ll explore where women’s health is today,  the physiology unique to a women’s body, and the big 3 M’s: Menstruation, Maternity and Menopause. Last, we’ll consider the role of employers in employee health and how the benefit plan can support good diagnosis and good treatment.
