He is also responsible for ensuring the overall growth of Aon’s cyber solutions practice in Canada. He oversees the operations and delivery of all cyber security services that Aon offers including but not limited to cyber risk consulting, security services, insurance placements.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Dustin has managed risk in the benefits industry as a principal consultant and employee. As a Certified Forensic Investigator and licensed investigator in the province of Alberta, he has effectively established benefit investigation and assurance services for a number of plan sponsors. His expertise has supported law enforcement agencies on fraud cases related to employee benefits and as a subject matter expert witness in court when required.

Dustin’s extensive knowledge and experience in vulnerabilities impacting the benefits industry has broadened his skill set beyond fraud, expanding his roles into a variety of areas – employee health and safety, business continuity, and information security. As an active member of the Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan’s (ASEBP) Information Security Management Committee, Dustin is an advocate for implementing a risk-based information security management system built on a framework of continuous improvement and advancement.

Leveraging his knowledge and vast experience in various cybersecurity standards and best practices, he understands the importance of information security, specifically within the benefits industry.

Working with internal stakeholders, Dustin works to identify and implement effective controls aimed to protect the privacy and information of members, clients, and partners within the industry while ensuring plan sustainability.
