Session description

Organizations in Canada are continuing to face the implications of an aging workforce and a growing group of retirees.

Our first panel will focus on retiree benefits. With escalating costs and changing priorities, maintaining and implementing retiree benefits has become significantly more difficult and less common. What solutions are available for these employees and how can employers help these employees in a cost-effective way?

Our second panel will focus on the challenges faced by pension plan administrators and sponsors in communicating with an aging workforce. What are the legal considerations and issues that pension plan administrators and sponsors should be aware of? What obligations do plan sponsors and administrators have when it comes to ensuring that their employees are aware of and understand about their own retirement program? Financial literacy is a key ongoing issue as employees head towards retirement.

Please join us on April 9th from 7:30 to 10 a.m. for two moderated panels focusing on retirees and employees nearing retirement. This is a valuable and important discussion to be had.
