If you would like to share your thoughts on what you feel will be part of "The New Deal" in the pension and Benefits industry, we invite you to submit your proposal to be a potential speaker at the CPBI national conference, FORUM 2016.
HOW TO SUBMIT A SPEAKING PROPOSAL
FORUM 2016 program will engage attendees from across all Canada to focus on emerging realities affecting the industry.
The CPBI FORUM committee is looking for proposals in the following areas, as well as, any other topics that you believe will play a role on the national and international scene and be part of The New Deal ...
- What’s the next disruption? How will the Googles of the world disrupt our industry? How can plan sponsors prepare?
- Wearable technologies and big data – how will they work in a group benefits context?
- How different will the new deal be? Do we anticipate a radical departure in terms of the employer-employee relationship? Has that already happened?
- Are employers responsible for employee health? What does that mean?
Mental health in the workplace. Why is it such a big issue; what should employers be doing? Not just to address problems, but to help prevent them. - Outsourcing pension risk..
- Target benefit plans.
- Global markets: low interest rates, bond markets, etc.
- National Pharmacare?
- New Deal: the voice of the plan member . What do they expect of their employer? What does retirement mean?
- Decumulation. Is the DC industry ready for this? What can/should members expect?
- Genetic testing and its impact on benefit plan management.
