When we started planning the 2020 CPBI Atlantic Regional Conference, our theme centered around entering into a new decade and what we may expect. That was back in January, which seems like a lifetime ago…2020 has been a long year so far. However, the theme we choose for the 16th anniversary of our CPBI Atlantic Conference, Charting unknown waters, could not be more fitting today.

While we will not have the same in person experience this year, we are excited to bring you everything you have come to expect – an engaging keynote speaker, relevant educational content and of course, a virtual social activity. CPBI members who take advantage of our Early Bird rate, will receive a special delivery that will incorporate touches of New Brunswick.

We hope you can join us as we explore challenges and opportunities within the pension and benefits industry in the midst of a global pandemic. We look forward to connecting with you virtually on October 8th.

2020 can only be described as turbulent and more is yet to come. For a thoughtful presentation on what may be on the horizon, Chantal will provide her thoughts on all things 2020 and beyond. What’s in store for the last quarter of 2020, given the looming US election, COVID’s second wave and Canada’s minority government? Nothing will be left on the table as we draw on Chantal’s political background for this session.

Chantal Hébert is a national affairs writer with the Toronto Star and a guest columnist for L’Actualité. She is a weekly participant on the political panel at Issue on the CBC’s The National as well as Radio-Canada’s Les Coulisses du pouvoir on television and Gravel le matin on Montreal radio.

Our conference day will end as it normally does, with an opportunity for a fun social event. Of course, it goes without saying that the only difference this year is we will be connecting virtually!

This part of the conference will take place via ZOOM so you can interact and see the faces of colleagues and friends.

People will be randomly placed in teams of 5-8 for a fun hour of Virtual Trivia!

Following the Trivia portion, stay connected to connect and chat with conference delegates.

The Algonquin Resort 2023

2020 was the year we were suppose to be at the beautiful Algonquin Resort in St. Andrews-by-the-sea, NB.

Like most organizations, for the safety and well being of our members and delegates, we have had to shift gears. Our 2020 CPBI Atlantic Regional Conference is going virtual!

Thank you to the Algonquin for helping us transition our event. As a not for profit organization, this means alot. We look forward to hosting our conference at the Algonquin in October 2023.
