At WCB, Occupation Disease claims, which include psychological injuries, constitute a small segment of overall WCB claims population however, they represent some of the more complex and sensitive claims handled by the WCB. Efforts to raise mental health awareness resulted in legislative changes to workers compensation in Manitoba. While adjudicating psychological injuries at WCB is not new, there have been some changes since January 2016.
Today's presentation will provide you with a brief history and an overview of the PTSD presumptive changes which impacts disability as a whole.

Theresa leads the Short Term Claim Division which provides compensatin services to injured workers and employers of Manitoba.
