PROGRAM: Emerging Trends in Employee Benefit Plans During this unprecedented time coming out from the COVID-19 pandemic, we will discuss what’s emerging and relevant in the marketplace and possible considerations for group benefit plan design and plan member engagement. David Tompkins – Director, Sales - Manitoba Blue Cross With over 32 years of sales, sales management and account management experience in group benefit and pension plans, David Tompkins has been with Manitoba Blue Cross since 2009 and is currently a member of the Senior Leadership Team as Director, Sales. David is responsible for all sales revenue lines for the company as well as Corporate and Community Partnerships. David is also the Past Chair and current representative of the National Sales and Marketing Committee of the Canadian Association of Blue Cross Plans.
Prior to joining the Manitoba Blue Cross team, David was Group Sales Manager at London Life Insurance Company and Account Executive with Sun Life Financial. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. He has also received a Group Benefits Associate, Retirement Plans Associate and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist from International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and Dalhousie University; and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Fellowship from IFEBP and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. David has been very active over the years with the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute, serving as the chairperson of the Manitoba Council of CPBI and as a member of CPBI's National Board of Directors. David currently supports CPBI Canada as a member of the National Forum Program Planning Committee. |
