Improving the Attractiveness of DC Plans for Employers and Employees
A significant percentage of Canadian workers do not have a workplace pension plan as the cost and administration of registered plans can be prohibitive for employers. Changes to legislation in various jurisdictions now permits non-unionized, independent and non-affiliated employers to join a single pension plan (Multi-Employer Plan- MEP), which could change all this.
In this webinar, Brian McClennon, President & CEO, Link Investment Management will discuss how MEPs bring economies of scale and centralization that significantly improve the attractiveness of offering a registered pension plan. As well, he will explain how Technology can also aid in making pension plans more accessible through automation, simplification, and efficiencies. This is particularly important in an environment where there are concerns about fees and a focus on member outcomes.
Attend this webinar to:
• Learn how DC MEPs are structured and operate
• Learn how MEPs can reduce compliance demands and mitigate administration and fiduciary risk for participating employers
• Learn how MEPS serve both the employer and employees
• Learn how technology and automation are reducing costs and improving member outcomes
