He has helped employers draft policies that address the legalization of recreational cannabis, COVID-19 and numerous other developments that have impacted workplaces. He advises regulatory bodies when sanctioning professionals for misconduct and acts as independent legal counsel to regulatory bodies.Walter has served as a member of the board of directors of the Law Society of Alberta and as President of the Canadian Bar Association – Alberta Branch.
