The CPBI Ontario London Chapter is back with its annual Spring Pension and Benefits Update!


>> Pension and Benefits Legal Update (9:00am – 10:00am)

In the last few years, reforms to pension and employment legislation have been coming at a break neck speed. More pension and benefit related cases than ever are working their way through the system. In the face of such change, employers and plan administrators must be ready to act, making adjustments to plan design and administration to manage risks, opportunities, and cost.

Speaker: Sukhvinder Dulay 

Sukhvinder Dulay is a pension and benefits lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. She assists clients with ongoing pension plan administration and governance as well as plan mergers, corporate transactions, and member communications. She also has experience advising on tax issues related to compensation and benefits. Sukhvinder’s advice on pensions, benefits and executive compensation is informed by her background in consulting and work experience in public sector human resources departments. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce and law degree from the University of Toronto and has previously worked at a large consulting firm and the Ontario public service.

Caroline Jensen BA Ec ACS FLMI 

As the Director Product Development (PD), Pharmaceutical Operations Caroline is responsible for the development of the Pharma Strategy as well as the execution and implementation of it within Sun Life Group Benefits business. Her main accountability's fall into 3 areas:

1) Innovation and Development
2) Relationship Management
3) Maintenance & Process Improvement

With a 15 year career spanning GB IT Projects and Support and 5 years experience as a director in GB Operations and now Product Development, she is attuned to maintaining SLF position as a digital leader in pharmaceutical group benefits.

Irene Keller, R.N., C.O.H.N (C)


Irene Keller is a Director for Product Development in Group Benefits (GB) at Sun Life Financial Canada. She is responsible for a team of Product Managers and for the identification, selection, implementation and management of innovative insurance solutions supporting key GB businesses. Her main accountabilities involve growing the strategic vision and prioritization for the portfolio of products critical to GB’s continued financial success, relationship management across key business stakeholders, as well as designing and implementing continuous improvements to the product development process.
