Ian Tam, CFA is Director of Investment Research, for Morningstar Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. In his current role, Ian is tasked with evangelizing Morningstar’s thought leadership across multiple stakeholder groups within Canada’s investment industry inclusive of individual investors, advisors, asset managers, industry trade bodies, and regulators. In 2021, he was the Chair of the Canadian Investment Funds Standards Committee, which oversees mutual fund, ETF, and segregated fund classifications in Canada including a new initiative to identify investment funds with ESG-related disclosures within prospectus. Ian holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. In what used to be his spare time, Ian is an avid yogi, an amateur rock climber, and a DJ, but all of these activities have fallen to the wayside with the arrival of his new daughter.

Roman is a board member of the Pension Investment Association of Canada (PAIC) and served on the FSRA/OSFI Technical Advisory Committee for the Review of DC plans.
Roman has been an active advocate for DC longevity pooling solutions. Roman has been in the pension industry for over 15 years. He is a CFA charter holder and holds an MBA degree from London Business School (UK). |
