Jennifer Taylor-Oland is the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Medavie, driving the execution of the organization’s DEI strategy. She works collaboratively across the business to develop, implement, promote and evaluate DEI initiatives, while monitoring emerging trends to influence future activities. In this capacity, Jennifer leverages her demonstrated leadership experience, having led large, high-performance teams throughout her career.
Jennifer is focused on employees, patients, clients and the communities that Medavie serves to collect their diverse perspectives and experiences to advance the wellbeing of Canadians. She works daily to create a culture where employees are comfortable bringing their true selves to work, while inspiring other organizations to do the same.
Jennifer joined Medavie in 2017 as the Manager, Corporate Communications before transitioning to the role of Manager, Brand and Creative Services. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and a certificate in DEI from Dalhousie University, as well as a leadership training certificate from Harvard Business School. She currently sits on the board of Halifax Dance in Nova Scotia.

Specializing in midlife health for women, Maureen focuses on areas such as perimenopause, menopause, sexual health and bladder health issues. Recognized as a thought leader and clinical care expert, Maureen actively educates students, healthcare professionals, and the public on health matters. Her expertise extends to the written word, with her authored book, "Sex and Health," and her insightful blog featured on her website, Maureenmcgrath.com. In acknowledgment of her outstanding contributions, Maureen received the Vancouver Coastal Health Nursing Excellence Award in 2009.
