Canadian employers have long relied on their benefit programs to help keep their workers healthier and to stem the tide of higher health, absence and disability costs. According to Towers Watson’s latest study of organizational health and productivity practices, many employers are now working to refine the efficiency of their plans by better engaging employees in their own health maintenance and directly linking organizational health strategy to the employee value proposition.

In this presentation, Towers Watson will share findings from our new Staying@Work research on high-effectiveness health and productivity programs, and discuss the types of strategies that employers are utilizing to improve employee health and financial results.

TransCanada will also discuss the organization’s current initiative to redesign its health strategy and how a multi-disciplinary team at TransCanada has leveraged Towers Watson’s Staying@Work research to assist them in identifying key areas of high impact within its own employee base.
