The Saskatchewan Pension Plan (SPP) is a program developed ahead of its time. This plan, initiated 25 years ago, is what many jurisdictions now desire. It is a capital accumulation plan created by the provincial government to provide supplementary income to individuals with little or no access to employer-sponsored pensions. It is currently the 26th largest defined contribution plan in Canada. The presentation will cover some of the highlights of the past 25 years and talk about the future of the SPP as a key player in the pension industry.
