Message from the Chairperson |
| Welcome to the CPBI Saskatchewan 2016/2017 Program Year! CPBI Saskatchewan Regional Council has had a very busy summer preparing exceptional educational opportunities for our members and attendees. We have added some additional events this year to provide you with even more opportunities to learn and to network with friends and colleagues. I encourage you to save the date for the 2017 CPBI Saskatchewan Regional Conference, Path to Greatness, to be held April 25th to 27th, 2017, at TCU Place in Saskatoon. The Conference Planning Committee is chaired this year by Sheryl Armstrong. Sheryl and her committee members are building an outstanding itinerary that includes well known speakers, relevant topics, and plenty of social opportunities. Watch for more information coming soon. |
CPBI National also announced the exciting news that CPBI National Forum will be held right here in Western Canada in 2017. Forum will be held in Winnipeg in June 2017 and we hope that with Forum being held so close to home that many from Saskatchewan will have an opportunity to attend and enjoy the CPBI National Forum experience. Did you have an opportunity to golf on September 20th? CPBI Saskatchewan hosted our first ever golf tournament on what turned out to be a beautiful day full of fun and delicious food. If you didn't have an opportunity to attend this year, please watch for it next year. And now as the leaves on the trees start to turn the colours of fall, our breakfast and luncheon events are set to begin. To kick-off our program year, we are pleased to offer members the opportunity to bring a non-member at the member price for our October and November breakfast & luncheon seminars. So please bring a friend who you know would enjoy the education CPBI offers as much as you do. In addition to our regular program year we will also be offering courses in partnership with Humber College. We are also pleased to once again offer Benefits Beyond the Basics in March 2017. Watch your inbox for more information on these exciting opportunities. If you are not already a CPBI member, please consider a membership for 2017. As a CPBI member, you will receive the member rate for CPBI events including the Saskatchewan Regional Conference. If you regularly attend our events your membership will pay for itself! There are many other benefits to becoming a member such as free National Webinars, access to an array of industry resources including event presentations and recordings, discounts on professional development programs such as PPAC, CEB and CEBS, and a job posting service. You will also be entitled to the Perkopolis Rewards Program that offers a variety of discounts on hotels, car rental, shows and more. 2016/2017 is going to be an exciting and informative year. On behalf of CPBI Saskatchewan Regional Council, I send our sincere thanks for your continued support. I look forward to seeing you at a CPBI Saskatchewan event soon. Please don't forget to bring a friend! Alana Shearer-Kleefeld

Highlights from our Inaugural Golf Tournament
CPBI Saskatchewan Regional Council offered its first ever Golf Event on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Royal Regina Golf Club.
| Between the putting contest, dice game, prizes, and great food, CPBI members and their guests enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of fun, networking and of course 18 holes of golf. The Council would like to thank the 28 golfers who came out to the event as well as a big thank you to the staff at the Royal Regina Golf Club for helping host us this year. As a special note of appreciation, we would also like to thank the friends of CPBI who donated prizes for this year’s inaugural event; each of the 28 golfers walked away with a small token to help them remember the fun and good times they had. Plans are already in the works for next year’s event so watch for updates next spring. |
