Voluntary benefits are becoming a larger part of the employee benefits package in today’s working environment. There are a number of different products being offered by a growing list of vendors at an increasing rate compared to the past. The presentation will look into the types of benefits available, the administration considerations, and the opportunities for organizations to offer these benefits to their employees.

 

Ryan Duesing is a Partner of Mercer in the Health & Benefits business and the Office Leader for Saskatchewan. Ryan joined Mercer in 2007.

Ryan provides group benefit advisory services to clients, focusing on strategies to support their human resources and business goals within traditional and flexible benefit plans. He is experienced in the design, underwriting, marketing, benchmarking, cost containment strategies, and implementation of comprehensive group insurance programs in both the private and public sectors.

Ryan has more than 25 years of experience in the benefits field. His background includes the financial management and auditing of benefit programs for clients. He has also assisted in union negotiations and the development of collective bargaining strategies.

Ryan attended the University of Regina, majoring in economics. He has completed a number of courses in the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist program. In addition, Ryan has obtained his life license from the Insurance Councils of Saskatchewan and is a member of the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute of Saskatchewan.

               

Schedule: Registration: 11:30 am, Lunch: 11:45 am, Presentation:  12:15 pm – 1:15 pm  

CE Credit:  This session qualifies for 1 Continuing Education credit for the Insurance Council of Saskatchewan (one credit per hour). 

Luncheon Fees:    

     CPBI Member: $40.00 including GST

     Student Member: $25.00 including GST

     Non-Member: $86.25 including GST
